Sex, Love, Betrayal<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 das Leben der amerikanischen Kulturanthropologin und Dokumentarfilmerin Margaret Mead hat selbst filmreife Qualit\u00e4ten. An nichts konnte und wollte sie wirklich festhalten. Weder an ihren zahlreichen m\u00e4nnlichen und weiblichen Geliebten, noch ihren Ehem\u00e4nnern und schon gar nicht an ihren Ansichten zu wirklich ALLEN denkbaren Themen und Problemfeldern ihrer Zeit.
\nDie Performance eignet sich Meads Leben in Form von f\u00fcnf Tableaux vivants an, um \u2013 once and for all! \u2013 die Frage zu beantworten, ob wir lieben k\u00f6nnen ohne zu besitzen, erkennen ohne zu zerst\u00f6ren und dem Fremden begegnen ohne es uns einzuverleiben. Wir treffen Mead als junge Forscherin auf Samoa, malariakranke Schwangere auf den Admiralit\u00e4tsinseln, als Mutter, Ehefrau, Geliebte, Wissenschaftlerin und \u00f6ffentliche Figur mit postmissionarischem Eifer.
\nEs k\u00f6nnte so sch\u00f6n sein, sie als Heldin zu verehren… Jedoch: Einen Spielverderber gibt es immer. So auch hier, aber der kommt erst zum Schluss.

\nAbout “Margaret Mead: Islands of Passion”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sex, Liebe, Verrat<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 the life of the cultural anthropologist and filmmaker Margaret Mead had enough drama for a Hollywood film. Of all the things she loved in her life, she only clung to fame: she abandoned her numerous male and female lovers, her husbands, her only child, and the hope that science could reveal the truth about its subjects.
\nThe performance appropriates Mead\u2019s life in the form of five tableaux vivants, in order to \u2013 ein f\u00fcr alle mal! \u2013 ask the question, whether we can love without owning, discover without destroying, and encounter the foreign without swallowing it. We meet Mead as young researcher on Samoa, as pregnant woman sick with malaria on the Admirality Islands, as mother, wife, lover, scientist, and public figure with postmissionary zeal.
\nBut wait for the Heretic … He is to arrive just at the end.
